Problem
The client developed an extensive Data Warehouse consolidating sales data across multiple divisions to provide a consolidated view of their dealings with each client.
They required a working prototype MIS dashboard to analyse sales data from various divisions for each customer to understand how much each customer was worth to the business.
Solution
The data flowed through various systems to two multi-dimensional databases (‘cubes’).
The solution used a series of templates to query these cubes and leverage the flexibility of Excel to present the data.
Users could ‘slice’ and ‘dice’ the data, export data to spreadsheets or export reports to PDF for distribution.
