Problem
Mortgage Servicing provide services to customers after they have drawn down (received) a mortgage from the bank.
Mortgage Servicing required a tool to analyse the impact of changing or releasing securities underlying a mortgage if a customer requested it.
This was to ensure there are adequate collateral offsetting the mortgage after the release or change.
Solution
This was, in essence, a calculation tool used between a risk assessor and a mortgage assessor.
This tactical solution was an Excel spreadsheet which performed the necessary calculation and validation for a specific mortgage to ensure there was still sufficient collateral if the underlying securities were removed or changed.
