Problem
Analysts needed to review the correlation of various (financial) indices from data in a corporate database.
The process was time consuming with most of the time spent copying-and-pasting the required data to produce the analysis.
Solution
The solution was an Excel Add-In.
This displayed a screen which allowed analysts to select options to import.
Data was extracted from the database based on options selected by the analysts.
It was imported into Excel producing a PivotTable and detailed charts for analysis.
This allow analysts to quickly build ad-hoc PivotTables and Charts from database data with a few mouse-clicks.
