Problem
‘Impaired assets’ are loans which borrowers are having difficulty repaying.
The client needed a solution which to:
- 1collate supplied Impaired Asset numbers,
- 2reconcile these numbers against the General Ledger, and
- 3report the results to impacted managers.
Solution
This solution employed a database to centralise the submission of data.
The data was viewed and managed via screens displayed in an Excel Add-In.
Each manager could view and edit data relevant to them.
Data could be extracted to Excel using preformatted templates or pasted as raw data for further analysis.
