Problem
Foreign Exchange (FX) trades were received by email. They were then manually entered into the trade booking system. This was slow and error prone.
Solution
Trades are now extracted from Outlook email and loaded into Excel.
In Excel the trades were formatted and validated using the client’s specific business rules.
The trades could then be visually checked by an analyst before pressing a button to submit them to the trading system via a CSV file.
There is now no manual data entry. Trades which breach business rules are automatically flagged and prevented from being submitted.
