The Bank needed to load specific structured finance attributes to a Credit Risk Engine for regulatory compliance (Basel Accord).
They had well over 10,000 structured finance exposures (loans) to primarily large corporates which were managed in non-strategic tools, particularly spreadsheets.
Solution
This tactical MS Access solution ensured the bank met regulatory timelines while the strategic solution was developed.
Developed with subject matter experts, it captured each exposure and their collateral securities which could be varied and complex.
The solution not only to tactically manage their exposures, but provide a clean migration to the strategic solution once developed.
